"Kiungo - Images of Africa" is a collection of beautiful photographs taken in Africa over the last 10 years by 28 photographers from around the world. This book is a benefit for The Masomo Project a small non-profit group dedicated to educating the orphans of the Starehe Children's home in Mwanza, Tanzania. All proceeds go to the charity, which is also a 100% volunteer run organization.

The idea for this book came to me after returning from Africa in 2006.    I set out to find some amazing photographs that captured the beauty of the continent and compile them into a book to benefit The Masomo Project.  I chose the Kiswahili word ‘Kiungo’ for the title because it means ‘connection’.  I truly believe that the more we realize that we are all connected then inevitably the world will become a better place.

Photos of the book itself are below as well as links to purchase the book and to find out more about Masomo.
